Have you ever sat or stood in a ray of sunshine, just as its making it’s way beneath the horizon? Just being in the bright warmth of it in that moment makes everything else around you seem so much darker than the space you’re occupying. And in that moment, you can tell as time slips by, seconds at a time, that the light of day that you stand in grows dimmer and dimmer. You actually realize how fast time really goes by. It will slip right past you; unless you experience it as just explained. In that instance it doesn’t slip by you, without you knowing as it usually does, it glides past you without you being able to do anything about it. Everyday now I find myself noticing the sunlight gliding past me. Some days I watch it with a smile on my face, and others with tears dripping down my cheeks. It’s so beautiful yet so tragic at the same time. This beautiful tragedy leaves me feeling like a mouse, caught in a trap waiting to die, nibbling on a slice of gourmet gouda.
I love The Lord, I love my family, I love My Woman, and I love my job. Praise Him on high, life’s pretty decent right now. Thank God for my good reefer as well!
